Software Engineer ( Python / React) -Trading Industry Experience Required

People More is a technology company working on projects for a large client base in Poland and abroad. They build projects from scratch or partially, covering UX, UI, frontend, backend, and mobile, working directly with clients worldwide. The role is for a project in partnership focusing on the trading industry.

• Experience in developing and maintaining production software systems.
• Very good knowledge of modern, typed Python.
• Experience with FastAPI, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy, or similar technologies.
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL, including query optimisation, indexing, execution plan analysis, database schema design, and working with large datasets.
• Experience with Docker and multi-service environments.
• Practical knowledge of React and JavaScript with ability to work across full technology stack.
• Ability to analyse existing solutions and assess their quality, performance, and architecture.
• Strong analytical skills to understand complex business processes and data flows.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to professionally challenge technical decisions and propose better solutions.
• Independence, ownership, and willingness to lead solutions from analysis through deployment.
• Trading industry experience is required.
• Very good English (C1) and Polish (B2).

Nice to have:

• Experience in energy, commodity trading, or financial markets.
• Knowledge of power, gas, emissions, forward curves, positions, P&L, valuation, or risk.
• Experience with pandas, NumPy, PyArrow, Dagster, or Jupyter.
• Knowledge of Rust, C++, C#, or F# in performance-sensitive solutions.
• Experience working at the intersection of local business needs and centralized corporate IT structures.

• Developing and maintaining backend services, frontend applications, and data pipelines.
• Building backend solutions in Python using FastAPI, Pydantic, and SQLAlchemy.
• Analysing and optimising Microsoft SQL Server databases, including queries, indexes, and execution plans.
• Supporting frontend applications developed with React and JavaScript.
• Developing and maintaining processes responsible for supplying the platform with market data.
• Supporting quantitative models used for valuation, risk management, and market analysis.
• Reviewing solutions delivered by the Central IT team and identifying technical, performance, and architectural issues.
• Providing professional and constructive technical feedback.
• Acting as a technical link between the local office in Switzerland and the Central IT team in Greece.
• Translating the needs of traders and analysts into practical technical solutions.
• Supporting Docker-based deployments and multi-service environments.
• Combining locally developed business tools with corporate solutions, standards, and platforms.
