Senior Machine Learning Product Engineer, Menu Personalization, Consumer Alliance (all genders)

HelloFresh is a global technology company with its HelloTech organisation comprising more than 1000 people. It builds digital products for end-to-end food experiences including meal kits, ready-to-eat meals, specialty food offerings, and platforms serving millions of customers monthly. HelloTech operates autonomous, cross-functional alliances owning specific product domains, including Menu Personalization which focuses on recommender systems for customers' meal choices across global markets.

• Hands-on experience with AI tooling such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot.
• Ideally 5 years of experience building and operating production ML systems.
• Fluency in the data and ML stack including Python, Apache Spark, with working knowledge of backend and platform stacks like Kafka and Kubernetes.
• Deep data/ML engineering expertise and statistical literacy to design and interpret experiments.
• Experience operating models or data products in production.
• Strong operational judgment to diagnose and fix system issues under load.
• Full ownership mentality with a bias to ship.
• Product sense with the ability to back opinions with data and user evidence.
• Production experience with recommender systems or large-scale personalization is a strong plus.

• Build and operate data products and ML systems behind menu personalization, including feature pipelines, training workflows, model serving, experimentation tooling, and infrastructure.
• Transition research and experiments into production services that meet latency, scalability, and observability requirements.
• Maintain accountability for significant components of the recommender stack from design through deployment and operation.
• Instrument and improve production systems based on real-world performance.
• Contribute to personalization roadmap with Product and Engineering using data and user evidence.
• Perform thorough code and design reviews and provide technical guidance.
• Work beyond your specialization when necessary.
• Operate the systems you build, monitoring and improving them in production.
