Senior Backend Product Engineer - Go and/or Python (all genders)

• Hands-on experience using AI tooling (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) with practical understanding of context shaping AI output quality and setting boundaries on AI-generated work.
• Strong fluency in Go or Python with experience building distributed production systems involving event-driven and asynchronous flows.
• Solid experience building, deploying, and operating critical backend services in production.
• Technical comfort with distributed systems, messaging queues, containerization, and modern deployment infrastructure.
• Strong software engineering instincts including design methodologies such as TDD, BDD, or DDD and making sensible technical trade-offs.
• Excellent communication skills for effective operation in an international, multidisciplinary technical environment.
• Ownership mentality with a bias to ship and complete tasks fully.
• Product sense with the ability to justify product decisions with data and user evidence.

• Take technical lead on backend-heavy product problems, designing, building, and operating reliable services and systems under a full DevOps model.
• Build event-driven systems using messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SQS/SNS, exposing data via REST and gRPC interfaces.
• Work extensively with Docker, container orchestration via Kubernetes, and automated CI/CD deployment pipelines.
• Maintain strong commitment to testing with robust test suites from unit to full end-to-end coverage.
• Collaborate closely within cross-functional agile teams including product leads, frontend engineers, designers, and data teams.
• Provide technical guidance and support through code and architecture reviews.
• Leverage modern AI tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor) to increase engineering productivity.
• Work beyond specialization when needed, operating the systems built including instrumentation, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
