PL / SQL Engineer

• MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle databases (10g, 11g, 12c)
• Advanced skills in Oracle PL/SQL including functions, procedures, triggers, and packages
• Experience with UNIX shell scripting
• Experience with performance tuning of SQL queries, applications, and Oracle instances
• Solid understanding of data warehouse (DWH) environments
• Knowledge of data modeling concepts
• Experience with ETL processes
• Familiarity with code repository tools
• Good English communication skills (spoken and written)
• Knowledge of the insurance business is a plus
• Strong team player with attention to detail and a proactive mindset

• Designing, implementing, and testing ETL processes
• Maintaining existing ETLs and ensuring stability of the DWH
• Proficiency in UNIX shell scripting
• Integration of data from multiple sources
• SQL tuning, identifying and resolving bottlenecks in ongoing processes
• Data analysis
• Interacting regularly with business users to consolidate and analyze requirements
• Incident and problem resolution according to project needs
• Production maintenance
