Site Reliability Engineer

Immense Group operates in the iGaming industry, focusing on delivering exceptional player experiences.

• Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps, System Administrator, or similar role for at least 3 years.
• Working knowledge of Cloud environments and technologies such as AWS and Oracle.
• Experience with databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of proxies, networks (LAN, WAN), and patch management tools.
• Proficiency with log management and visualisation tools like the ELK stack.
• Proficiency with monitoring solutions such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Proficiency with Git and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab).
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Terraform.
• Experience with containerisation and orchestration tools, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Working knowledge of server operating systems, particularly Linux and Windows.
• Good knowledge of network protocols such as the HTTP and TCP stacks.
• Knowledge of system security including intrusion detection systems and data backup/recovery.
• Ability to create scripts and automate processes using tools like Rundeck, Ansible, Bash, and Puppet.
• Experience using Nginx, PHP-FPM, SSL, DNS, and Cloudflare is a plus.
• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline; professional certifications are a plus.
• Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Availability outside working hours to resolve emergency issues promptly.

• Ensure high availability and acceptable levels of performance of mission critical infrastructure resources.
• Continuously analyse system performance and stability in production and proactively identify areas in need of optimisation.
• Respond to support escalations.
• Develop procedures to maintain security and protect systems from unauthorised use.
• Develop procedures, programs, and documentation for backup and restoration of host operating systems and host-based applications.
• Develop and maintain adequate system monitoring and alerting to maximise system uptime and minimise impacts on the end user experience.
• Own and resolve escalated service issues.

Technical services and support:

• Internal systems, cloud, and network infrastructure.

• Virtualization technologies: VMware, Proxmox, Microsoft, LXC.

• Remote monitoring and management of system alerts and notifications.

• Administration and maintenance of the remote monitoring and management system including updating agent scripts, responding to alerts, monitoring dashboards, and periodic system audits and review.

• Participate in post incident reviews.

• Perform other tasks related to the Site Reliability Engineer or DevOps Engineer role.
