Senior Fullstack Engineer (AI Product)

Opportunity to join a fast-growing AI product company building software to change how US accounting firms prepare and review taxes. The company develops an AI-powered tax platform used by hundreds of accounting firms.

• Senior-level commercial experience (minimum 5 years) building fullstack applications using React and Python.
• Strong product mindset focusing on user problems and outcomes.
• Proven ability to take ownership end to end from unclear needs to production solutions.
• Comfortable making decisions with incomplete information and refining scope.
• Pragmatic engineering approach balancing quality, speed, and business impact.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure in Google Cloud Platform and/or Azure.

Bonus points:

• Experience in fast-moving startup or scale-up environments.
• Experience taking a product or major feature from zero to one.
• Experience building software in regulated or complex domains.
• Previous experience with AI/LLM-powered products.
• Experience working directly with users or using product metrics and customer feedback to decide development priorities.

• Build and maintain fullstack features across AI-powered tax preparation, planning, and review products.
• Design and implement React interfaces, TypeScript APIs, and Python backend services.
• Take ownership of features from initial problem identification through implementation, release, and iteration.
• Work with real usage data and customer feedback to guide improvements.
• Make product and technical decisions with incomplete upfront details.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, AI, product, and domain experts.
• Communicate with customer-facing teams and use user feedback to shape solutions.
• Maintain a clean, typed, and performant codebase while moving quickly.
• Balance shipping speed with product polish and value.
