Full Stack Engineer

Latent AI is a leading AI solutions implementation partner focused on delivering bespoke AI and machine learning solutions through small, agile, and expert teams.

• Minimum 5+ years experience as a full-stack engineer with modern web applications.
• Expert-level hands-on ability with Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
• Deep experience with PostgreSQL and modern ORMs (Prisma).
• Experience with type-safe APIs such as tRPC.
• Familiarity with monorepo architectures (Turborepo, Nx).
• Experience with React state management tools (Tanstack Query, Zustand).
• Experience working effectively with AI coding agents.
• Commitment to high-quality code and modern testing strategies (unit, integration, e2e).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a small team.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Tailwind CSS and component libraries (shadcn/ui).
• Experience with form libraries (React Hook Form).
• Understanding of background job systems (Trigger.dev or similar).
• Experience with E2E testing frameworks.
• Experience with DevOps principles and CI/CD pipeline management.
• Experience implementing or managing observability tools (logging, monitoring, tracing).
• Experience with authentication systems.

Bonus points:

• Experience in consulting or professional services.
• Exposure to AI, ML, or data-driven platforms.
• Familiarity with distributed teams and cross-timezone collaboration.

Project & Delivery:

• Operate as part of a small team rebuilding and maintaining a full-stack web application.
• Participate in technical discussions, reviews, and solution design.
• Own planning and development of features on the Next.js/Node.js/Python platform.

Hands-On Technical Expertise:

• Write production-grade code with expert-level skills in Next.js and TypeScript.
• Manage backend data-processing services and databases, including PostgreSQL.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines following DevOps principles.
• Implement or manage observability tools for system health and debugging.
• Apply modern testing strategies (unit, integration, e2e) to ensure code quality.
• Leverage AI coding assistants to enhance development efficiency.
