AWS DevOps Engineer

This position supports an international bank in Kraków as part of the Cloud Services Operations team managing cloud workloads across AWS, GCP, and Azure.

• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.
• Ability to lead major incident investigations and participate in on-call rotations.
• Solid Python skills or strong scripting experience coupled with a software development background.
• Hands-on experience with a broad range of cloud technologies, especially AWS.
• Practical understanding of DevOps principles and Agile methodologies, with strong ownership from development to production support.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale infrastructure solutions.
• Good knowledge of Linux and/or Windows environments.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Git, Ansible, and Terraform.
• Security-first mindset with understanding of building and operating secure AWS solutions.

Nice to have:

• AWS certifications or willingness to obtain them.
• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform.
• Linux and/or Windows certifications.
• Experience with non-functional testing including performance, reliability, or security testing.
• Understanding of risk management principles and regulatory compliance.
• Experience working in regulated environments like banking, finance, or healthcare.

• Work closely with project teams to design and maintain secure, reliable, and scalable cloud solutions supporting business objectives.
• Participate in on-call rotation, troubleshoot technical issues, and resolve production incidents to ensure platform stability.
• Create and maintain clear documentation for technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Manage AWS environments and support day-to-day operations of core cloud platform services.
• Partner with software engineering teams to securely and efficiently deliver new applications into production.
