The position is hybrid, based in either London, UK or Warsaw, Poland.

Wymagania

  • Strong background in software development and back-end engineering, preferably from iGaming, video games, or related fields.
  • Proficient in Java with good knowledge of object-oriented programming and software architecture.
  • Ability to design and structure game logic cleanly, maintainably, and configurably.
  • Commitment to code quality and maintainability, with willingness to refactor evolving code bases.
  • Good mathematical and logical reasoning to implement game mechanics accurately and work with mathematicians.
  • Proficiency in software design patterns for game or systems development.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to own projects end-to-end.
  • Clear communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with Git, distributed version control, and branching strategies.
  • Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience using project management tools like Jira and ClickUp.
  • Knowledge of slot mechanics and iGaming regulatory considerations is a plus.

Obowiązki

  • Take game concepts or design specifications and build fully working games on the Java code base, owning server-side game logic from first commit to release.
  • Implement core game mechanics, reel logic, feature triggers, and bonus flows as per design.
  • Pass games to Game Mathematicians for balancing and collaborate to resolve logic or behavioural issues.
  • Coordinate all work needed to take a game from concept to released, client-ready title.
  • Handle setup and administrative tasks for game integration, including configuration, metadata, and client interfaces.
  • Work alongside Client Developers, Designers, QA Engineers, and Producers to align server implementation with client and intended experience.
  • Integrate with backend platform to manage game state and ensure secure, reliable handling of game rounds and transactions.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues arising during development, QA, or live production.
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-structured code; contribute to code base health through refactoring and reducing technical debt.
