Senior Software Engineer, Server Fleet Infrastructure

• 5+ years of experience building and operating production backend or infrastructure services.
• Proficiency in Go for developing networked services and APIs (gRPC and REST).
• Experience designing reliable distributed systems including concurrency and failure handling.
• Strong understanding of Linux system internals, debugging processes, networking, and storage.
• Experience with Kubernetes or similar container orchestration platforms and their APIs.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tooling such as Argo, Flux, or GitHub Actions.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have:

• Experience automating lifecycle management for large fleets of physical servers or hardware.
• Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Salt.
• Experience integrating with vendor APIs and internal systems for multi-step workflows.
• Experience with multi-datacenter or regionally distributed systems including failure domain considerations.

• Design and implement backend services and APIs (primarily gRPC in Go) to orchestrate provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle operations across the global server fleet.
• Develop Kubernetes custom resource definitions (CRDs) to automate provisioning and lifecycle management.
• Model and evolve RPC schemas and data contracts for integration with fleet provisioning workflows.
• Build integrations with vendor and internal APIs to enhance hardware and data center process operations.
• Collaborate with hardware engineering, data center operations, and platform teams to design scalable solutions.
• Create test plans, deployment automation, and tooling to enable safe rollouts and continuous improvements.
• Participate in on-call rotation to drive incident response and post-incident improvements.
