Staff Engineer, AI Object Storage

The Storage Engine Team focuses on building reliable and scalable storage solutions optimized for demanding AI workloads.

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of professional engineering experience in storage systems or infrastructure platforms.
• Strong hands-on experience with object storage or distributed filesystems in high-scale production environments.
• Deep experience with storage protocols such as S3 and NFS and distributed architectures like Ceph or DAOS.
• Proficiency in systems programming languages such as Go, C, or Rust.
• Experience with cloud-native infrastructure, Kubernetes, and scalable system architectures.
• Familiarity with storage observability, metrics collection, and telemetry pipelines like ClickHouse, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Proficiency leveraging AI tools to enhance software development workflows.

• Design and implement distributed storage solutions to support scaling AI workloads.
• Develop exabyte-scale, S3-compatible object storage.
• Integrate dedicated clusters into diverse customer environments.
• Leverage RDMA, GPU Direct Storage, and distributed filesystem protocols (e.g., NFS, FUSE) to optimize throughput and latency.
• Lead cross-functional efforts to enhance reliability, durability, security, and telemetry.
• Establish operational best practices and architectural standards.
• Provide technical mentorship across the engineering team.
