Senior Data Engineer

The client for this role is one of the largest e-commerce platforms in Europe, connecting sellers from small businesses to global brands with millions of customers daily.

• At least 5 years of commercial experience in data engineering
• Code in Python (65% of tasks) and JVM languages (Java, Kotlin, Scala; 35%)
• Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Composer, Dataproc, Cloud Run) or other public cloud providers
• Deep knowledge of SQL and PySpark
• Experience with good software development practices: TDD, Clean Code, CI/CD
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix environment
• Experience with Docker
• Experience with git or other version control systems
• Interest in emerging technologies like Generative AI and its applications
• Team-working skills and positive attitude
• Eagerness for personal development and active participation in solution development
• English language proficiency minimum B2+

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Apache Beam and Google Dataflow
• Knowledge of Terraform or other IaaC tools
• Experience with Spark or PySpark, not necessarily in a Hadoop environment

• Develop and automate tools in the Data Platform area
• Support the Client's product, technical, and analytical teams in building technology solutions and data-driven services
• Assist Client's technical and analytical teams in resolving issues reported through Slack, email, and OpsGenie
