Release Manager

Ework Group is hiring a Release Manager to work on planning and executing deployments of application and technology platform releases in the banking sector. The role involves collaboration with various stakeholders including Release Managers, Test Managers, Product Owners, Execution Leads, Scrum Masters, and operations teams within a motivated, international Release & Rollout Management specialist team.

• Minimum 5 years of IT project management and planning experience.
• Experience in Release Management or Deployment Management, preferably in the banking sector.
• Experience with incident, problem, and change management tools and processes according to the ITIL framework.
• Confident working knowledge of project management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Experience applying Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) practices.
• Basic understanding of DevOps methodologies.
• Strong communication skills and basic technical knowledge for collaboration with development teams and creating deployment runbooks.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT or a related field.
• Excellent networking and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical approach with very good coordination and planning skills.
• Attention to detail combined with a broad perspective to manage own commitments and dependencies on others.
• Responsibility, proactivity, and ability to adapt quickly to changes.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Flexibility and willingness to work extra paid evening and weekend hours during deployments.
• Practical knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and SAFe methodologies.
• Technical mindset and thinking.
• Very good spoken and written English skills.

• Coordinate, plan, and maintain release roadmaps for one or multiple applications.
• Plan deployments and coordinate multiple parallel releases.
• Plan production go-live activities and post-deployment actions.
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor activities related to changes in the entire release management process.
• Conduct release decision meetings to gain stakeholder approval for deployment stages.
• Plan and organize knowledge transfer sessions and responsibility handover from development to operations teams.
• Increase quality and efficiency of deployment processes using new techniques, automation, and DevOps practices in release orchestration.
