Cloud Data Engineer (Databricks)

Clurgo is a company created by developers for developers, delivering diverse IT projects for clients across multiple industries and ensuring good programming practices and work-life balance. The team competencies span software development, infrastructure, analysis, testing, and strategic product and process management. The role is part of an international media project focused on developing and modernizing Data Engineering solutions in the AWS cloud environment. The project involves migration to a modern architecture based on Databricks and developing scalable data processing workflows, with direct collaboration with the client team.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Data Engineering with practical experience in building and developing ETL/ELT processes
• Strong knowledge of Databricks, Python, and data engineering solutions running on AWS
• Experience with modern data platforms and working with data warehouses, especially Amazon Redshift
• Ability to analyze existing solutions independently, propose enhancements, and make technical decisions
• Experience with data platform migrations is an advantage
• Proficient English communication skills (minimum B2) for direct client collaboration

Nice to have:

• Experience with Matillion
• Experience in migrating or modernizing data engineering platforms
• Experience working with international teams

• Develop Data Engineering solutions within the client's environment
• Support new projects based on Databricks
• Participate in planned migration from Matillion to Databricks
• Design business and technical requirements and translate them into Data Engineering solutions
• Identify issues and propose improvements for the data platform
• Share knowledge and build Databricks competencies within the team
