Data Engineer / Senior Data Engineer Microsoft Fabric

• Minimum 3 years of commercial experience as a Data Engineer on production data projects.
• Strong knowledge and experience with Python, PySpark, and SQL working with large datasets.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, or Databricks platforms.
• Understanding of layered data architectures such as Medallion Architecture and data formats like Delta Lake and Parquet.
• Experience designing and implementing data pipelines and integrating diverse sources including Excel and databases.
• Proficiency with Git, code review processes, and CI/CD workflows.
• Implementation experience of Data Quality mechanisms, data validation, and error reporting.
• Knowledge of data security and privacy principles within Azure environments.
• Ability to optimize data processing for performance and cost.

Nice to have:

• Certifications DP-600 and DP-700.
• Experience in the financial sector.
• Knowledge of R.
• CI/CD for data platforms.
• Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Design and implementation of data pipelines in Azure Data Factory and PySpark notebooks.
• Onboarding and integration of various data sources including Excel files and databases.
• Data transformation and preparation of batch data.
• Ensuring data quality, versioning, and security.
• Automating deployments using Git and CI/CD.
• Collaborate within a team following code reviews and CI/CD practices.

The cooperation and onboarding process is conducted remotely. The recruitment includes a phone call (up to 30 minutes) and a remote meeting with the Project Product Owner (30-60 minutes).
