Senior Databricks Engineer

Entrada AI is a specialized consulting partner and a strategic portfolio company of Databricks Ventures. This designation grants engineers direct access to product roadmaps, private previews, and the development teams. The team consists of industry veterans and Databricks MVPs focusing on clean architecture and solving complex challenges for Fortune 500 clients.

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering with a focus on distributed systems
• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience with the Databricks platform and deep knowledge of Delta Lake internals
• Production experience with cloud platforms such as Azure (ADLS Gen2, ADF) or AWS (S3, Glue)
• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL
• Experience implementing modern governance with Unity Catalog
• Fluent English (C1+) for direct client collaboration

Nice to have:

• Experience building data applications using Databricks Apps
• Familiarity with Delta Live Tables (DLT)
• Databricks Data Engineer Professional certification
• Experience with dbt

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines using Apache Spark (PySpark) on Databricks
• Analyze and optimize complex Spark jobs for performance and cost
• Migrate legacy data warehouses to Lakehouse architecture using Delta Lake
• Enforce high code quality standards through code reviews and CI/CD implementation (Databricks Asset Bundles)
• Share knowledge and act as a technical advisor for clients
