Senior Software Engineer

BlackLine is a leading provider of cloud software that automates and controls the entire financial close process, founded in 2001. The role is for the AI-powered Invoice-to-Cash (I2C) solution, a market-leading platform that uses intelligent automation to improve cash collection and efficiency in accounts receivable processes. The position is part of a new Engineering Hub in Kraków, aiming to shape engineering culture and deliver a product used globally by finance teams.

• Expertise in AI-driven development tools such as Cursor and Claude.
• Strong experience designing, building, and deploying scalable, secure SaaS applications.
• Proficiency in C# with a deep understanding of software architecture, data structures, and algorithms.
• Proven ability to drive complex projects from ambiguous requirements to successful launch.
• Solid knowledge of modern software practices including CI/CD, automated testing, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Experience with logging, metrics, and distributed tracing across microservices.
• Excellent communication skills and comfortable working across time zones.

Nice to have:

• Ability to translate complex business problems into simple technical solutions.
• Experience in regulated industries such as finance or accounting.
• Knowledge of cloud-native technologies and platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with Responsible AI principles in software development.

• Build and ship complex, well-tested features from concept to production for a mission-critical enterprise application.
• Utilize agentic AI development tools like Cursor and Claude to accelerate design, coding, and testing.
• Design and implement scalable, robust, and maintainable solutions for the core SaaS platform.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to refine requirements and contribute to the technical roadmap.
• Ensure system performance, reliability, and security to meet global demands.
• Mentor and elevate engineering standards through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and best practices.
