Senior Software Engineer - Flight Data Systems

The company employs a global team of 400 people speaking 19 languages, with offices in Kraków, Warsaw, and Gdańsk.

• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with significant depth in Go for backend services.
• Experience designing and operating high-throughput, data-intensive, or event-driven systems including pipelines, streaming, queues, and real-time APIs.
• Strong knowledge of concurrency, reliability, and performance trade-offs.
• Solid understanding of relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL) and evolving data modeling.
• Comfortable with full SDLC from problem framing to production deployment and monitoring.
• Experience with cloud environments, especially AWS, and containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ownership mindset with proactive problem-solving.
• Clear communication skills and constructive feedback.
• Proficient in English (spoken and written).

Bonus points:

• Experience integrating third-party data feeds managing rate limits, schema drift, and unreliable upstreams.
• Familiarity with aviation/travel domain.
• Experience with observability and SLO-driven operations for critical services.

• Design, build, and scale Go services ingesting flight data from heterogeneous providers, reconciling conflicting signals, and serving normalized data.
• Own performance, correctness, and uptime of Flight Data Systems.
• Lead modernization and optimization initiatives impacting the platform and cross-team architecture.
• Ship production-ready code daily with strong testing practices.
• Enhance developer velocity by contributing to shared tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code.
• Mentor peers through code reviews, design discussions, testing discipline, and documentation.
• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to frame problems and translate data requirements into maintainable systems.
