AI Researcher / Engineer

ABRIAL is a California-based startup with a significant European presence developing a commercial operating system for airlines focused on price optimization (yield management). The team consists of 10 experts with a mix of business, domain expertise, and AI research & engineering. The product is live with a large airline and has additional clients in contract stages. The company secured funding with a runway through Q1 2028 and is preparing a Series A raise.

• 2 to 8 years of experience including hands-on post-docs & PhD
• Strong foundation in Deep Learning and/or Reinforcement Learning
• Experience applying AI to optimization problems in operations research
• Comfortable with production-level model development
• Thrives in small, high-impact teams
• Extreme intellectual curiosity and passion for execution

• Build, ship, and iterate fast on models brought to production
• Apply Deep Learning and/or Reinforcement Learning to optimization problems in operations research
• Work in a small team, taking direct ownership and making an impact
• Grow business and responsibilities rapidly
