Lead DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Join a newly formed team of DevOps experts building a modern, secure cloud platform for a global leader in the electronic payments industry.

• 5+ years of experience as a Platform, DevOps, or Cloud Engineer
• Team Lead experience or leadership potential to lead the team and serve as the primary client contact
• Hands-on experience with AWS, including EKS, VPC, IAM, Route 53, S3, and KMS
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, preferably AWS CDK
• Experience with GitOps and CI/CD tools such as ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar
• Understanding of cloud networking and security concepts including VPC Peering, PrivateLink, Zero Trust, and policy management like OPA/Gatekeeper

Nice to have:

• Experience building reusable AWS CDK constructs (L2/L3)
• Familiarity with Forge CI, JFrog Artifactory, AWS CloudWatch, or F5 networking solutions

• Design and build cloud infrastructure on AWS using Infrastructure as Code
• Deploy and manage Kubernetes (EKS) environments
• Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows using tools like ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, and GitLab CI
• Implement cloud networking, security, and monitoring best practices including VPC Peering, PrivateLink, Zero Trust, and policy management (e.g., OPA, Gatekeeper)
• Set technical priorities for the team and provide support in resolving complex incidents
• Collaborate with the client's technical leads to streamline processes and optimize overall work efficiency
• Report work progress, milestones, and updates directly to the client-side manager

Primary collaboration with the Polish team with readiness for occasional evening calls with the US client around 18:00–19:00 CET is required.
