Software Engineer 2 (Java/Kotlin) - Offer Verification

Grupa Allegro Sp. z o. o. is a technology company with a large-scale distributed system handling approximately 120 million offer events daily. The team focuses on backend services primarily using Kotlin and collaborates with Data Science and Machine Learning teams to build AI-driven tools for real-time merchant listing validation and platform compliance.

• Commercial experience coding in Kotlin or Java with eagerness to master Kotlin for new services.
• Value high-quality code and engineering best practices for complex, massive-scale distributed systems.
• Experience or interest in implementing and optimizing AI models in production.
• Effective communication skills in English at least at B2 level.
• Growth mindset and openness to occasional frontend tasks (knowledge of React is a plus).

• Build tools to validate merchant listings against company policies and legal regulations.
• Work closely with Data Science and Machine Learning teams utilizing AI for real-time decisions.
• Design, build, and optimize backend services primarily in Kotlin to handle massive scale distributed systems (~120 million offer events daily).
• Implement and optimize AI models in a production environment.
• Occasionally take on frontend tasks using React.
• Participate in the development of infrastructure for open-source AI models and AI evaluation tools to track model performance.
