SRE Engineer

Genuine Parts Company, founded in 1928 and based in Atlanta, Georgia, is a leading specialty distributor of automotive and industrial replacement parts with over 10,000 locations and 60,000 employees worldwide. The GPC Global Technology Center in Krakow, established in 2022, is an innovative R&D facility supporting GPC's digital transformation efforts by developing advanced technologies and solutions for e-commerce, data platforms, supply chain, selling systems, and cybersecurity.

• 2–3+ years hands-on experience in SRE, DevOps, or Platform Engineering
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), writing and optimizing Dockerfiles
• Proficient with Git/GitHub workflows
• Strong networking fundamentals: DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS/SSL certificates, reverse proxies, firewalls, traffic routing
• Experience with progressive delivery techniques like Blue/Green deployments
• Experience with observability, logs, metrics, traces; familiarity with New Relic is a plus
• Scripting skills in Bash and/or Python
• Independent problem-solver with ability to escalate when needed
• Effective communicator working directly with development teams
• Ownership mindset and proactive attitude
• Reliability mindset focusing on preventing failures
• Automation skills to reduce operational toil, with proper documentation

Nice to have:

• Experience with Azure ACA, APIM
• Experience with Cloudflare
• Knowledge of API versioning and feature flags (LaunchDarkly)
• Experience with secrets management / OIDC federation
• Background in e-commerce or high-traffic environments

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Containerize services with Docker and deploy them to Azure
• Support developers with Docker, DNS, certificates, and traffic routing
• Maintain service reliability via observability stack, including dashboards, alerts, and thresholds
• Independently own well-scoped automation and reliability tasks
• Collaborate with SRE lead and other engineers in platform support
