Senior Java Developer

• Deep experience using Java.
• About 6+ years of previous work experience.
• Experience with web application/service development.
• Knowledge of SQL.
• Ability to get legacy code under test.
• Curiosity and willingness to discuss and exchange knowledge with team members.
• Good communication skills to work in an agile delivery team with Developers, QAs, and Product Owners.
• Advantageous experience with Tomcat, Maven, Spring, MongoDB, Guava, Guice, MySQL, Nginx, Linux, Jenkins, GIT, Docker, Kubernetes, gcloud.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

• Work with all parts of the system and all stages of the development process.
• Integrate with external systems.
• Develop internal components and subsystems.
• Potentially work on frontend development for mobile and desktop devices.
• Collaborate closely with the business side to develop and implement new features.
• Read and modernize legacy code written over 15 years by around 60 developers in risk-adverse increments.
