MSSQL Database Administrator

• 5+ years experience as a SQL Database Administrator
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server administration and architecture
• Solid understanding of SQL performance tuning and query optimisation
• Experience with database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery
• Knowledge of high availability technologies including replication and log shipping
• Experience with database maintenance, monitoring, and capacity management
• Good understanding of database structures, indexes, file groups, and memory management
• Experience in Windows Server environments
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Nice to have:

• Experience administering Oracle databases
• Knowledge of database migration and upgrade projects
• Experience supporting 24x7 mission-critical environments
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management
• Shell scripting or automation experience
• Pre-sales or transition management experience
