Proxy Product Owner IT (k/m)

PZU Tech S.A., located in Warszawa, operates in a large transformation program within the insurance industry. The company seeks a Proxy Product Owner IT to connect business needs with technology, collaborate across teams including business, IT, architecture, and vendors, supporting product decisions and end-to-end implementation.

• Experience creating and maintaining product vision and roadmap aligned with business goals
• Ability to build relationships with stakeholders, manage expectations, and influence product direction
• Good knowledge of the Product Owner role and software development process
• Advanced backlog management and prioritization based on business value
• Strong understanding of Scrum and practical cooperation with Scrum teams
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Miro
• Knowledge and experience in the insurance industry
• Experience designing, monitoring, and analyzing product, business, and operational metrics (e.g., TTM, ROI, KPI, OKR, NPS)
• Agile/Scrum certification (e.g., PSPO II or equivalent)
• Strong decision-making, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to make product decisions under uncertainty and manage trade-offs between scope, time, cost, and quality
• Very good understanding of technology including systems, APIs, integrations, and technological constraints, with ability to assess technological impact on product
• Skills in conducting discovery activities including research, workshops, and user needs analysis
• Experience managing organizational resistance and change
• Experience delivering at least 3 commercial products, including at least one in the insurance industry
• Readiness to provide services in Poland
• Readiness to work in hybrid model in Warszawa (3 days on-site, 2 days remote)
• English language proficiency at minimum B2 level

• Represent business needs within product development
• Manage product backlog and prioritize based on business value
• Support defining the product development direction aligned with business goals
• Coordinate collaboration among stakeholders, business teams, IT, architecture, and vendors
• Ensure transparency and proper understanding of backlog by teams and stakeholders
• Create complete User Stories and break down requirements into releasable elements
• Monitor progress and achievement of product goals
• Work closely with Scrum teams using Scrum practices
• Use tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Miro
• Conduct product discovery activities including research, workshops, and user needs analysis
• Handle organizational resistance and change management
• Facilitate workshops such as story mapping and event storming (Nice to have)

Nice to have:

• Experience implementing leading market systems for claims and benefits like EIS or Guidewire
• Collaboration with UX and understanding of design processes
• Basic knowledge of SQL and log analysis
• Knowledge of GA4 or similar tools
• Inspire team for A/B testing, experiments, and conversion optimization
• Advanced Agile/Scaling certifications (e.g., PSM II, SAFe, LeSS)
• Utilization of AI for working with needs, backlog, and product

• Readiness to provide services on the territory of Poland
• Readiness to work in Warszawa in a hybrid model (3 days office, 2 days remote)
