Python Data Engineer

RTB House is a global company that provides state-of-the-art marketing technologies for top brands and agencies worldwide. Its proprietary ad-buying engine is powered entirely by Deep Learning algorithms. The role involves building the backbone of analytics systems, including applications and data pipelines handling terabytes of data daily, focusing on data-intensive systems and performance optimization.

• Solid experience in backend development for data-intensive applications with Python.
• Strong proficiency with relational databases and ability to write efficient, optimized SQL queries, especially with PostgreSQL and BigQuery.
• Understanding of RESTful and GraphQL API conventions, particularly for analytical data delivery.
• Experience in asynchronous programming.
• Good understanding of system design concepts related to Big Data, including data warehousing, ETL optimization, and scalability.
• Experience writing and maintaining tests with pytest.
• Problem-solving skills for complex data challenges.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.

• Design, develop, and maintain the backend for web applications presenting large-scale campaign statistics and financial data.
• Build and optimize large-scale ETL/ELT data processing jobs feeding analytics and reporting systems.
• Contribute to internal Python libraries for high-performance data processing and analytics.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests.
• Identify bottlenecks and propose improvements for data pipeline performance, query speed, and data accuracy.
• Collaborate with Data Analysts and Product teams to deliver new metrics and analytics capabilities.
• Apply best practices in application design, data modeling, and API building for data-heavy applications.
