QA Engineer

MOTIFE is a Krakow-based recruitment and consulting company that helps businesses scale up with high-quality tech talent from Poland. They specialize in setting up, managing, and growing dedicated teams of software engineers and IT professionals for clients — fast-growing companies and startups from Europe, North America, and the Middle East. They provide end-to-end solutions including entry strategy, recruitment, employer of record (EOR) services, and back-office operations in Poland.

• At least 2 years of professional experience in software testing, QA engineering, software development or a similar technical role.
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript and Java.
• Experience with UI test automation tools such as Selenium or WebdriverIO and the Page Object Model.
• Experience working in Agile environments with Jira and Git.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions and test management tools such as Xray.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills.
• Understanding of software logic, data structures and complex applications.
• Interest in AI-powered development tools, including coding agents such as Claude Code or Codex.
• Proactive approach, ownership and a hands-on mindset when investigating technical issues and improving testing processes.

• Develop and maintain automated test suites, regression tests and automation frameworks for internal applications.
• Support continuous delivery by collaborating with engineering teams on testing strategies and reliable test environments.
• Perform exploratory and manual testing to identify issues that automated tests may miss.
• Use AI coding agents to automate repetitive test scenarios and improve testing efficiency.
• Investigate and document bugs in Jira and Xray, identifying potential root causes.
• Work with developers and internal users throughout the development lifecycle to provide early feedback and ensure feature quality.
