Cybersecurity Engineer

Scalo delivers software projects and supports partners in business development by providing services across technology consulting, software development, embedded systems, cloud solutions, data management, and dedicated project teams.

• Minimum 7 years of IT experience, including at least 5 years in Cybersecurity/Infrastructure Security.
• Expert knowledge in at least one of the following areas: Public Cloud Security (AWS/Azure), Mainframe Security, Workplace Security, or Network Security.
• Experience in defining security architecture, standards, policies, and requirements.
• Practical experience with risk assessment, security reviews, compliance, and risk mitigation.
• Broad knowledge of infrastructure technologies and IT security mechanisms.
• Experience collaborating with architects, infrastructure teams, and Information Security.
• Ability to analyze complex solutions and risks and translate them into concrete security recommendations.
• Experience in security governance initiatives and working with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong communication, analytical, and advisory skills, able to justify security approaches.
• Proficiency in English (C1 level) enabling smooth cooperation in an international environment.

Nice to have:

• Experience in large, international enterprise environments.
• Experience in the financial sector or other regulated environments.
• Participation in projects related to cloud transformation, regulatory compliance, or security audits.
• Experience in creating security strategies for complex infrastructure environments.
• Certifications in cybersecurity, cloud security, or risk management.

• Participate in strategic initiatives in Cyber Infrastructure Security in an international environment.
• Define security strategy for Public Cloud (AWS/Azure), Mainframe, Workplace, or Network Security.
• Define security requirements for new and developing infrastructure products and solutions.
• Develop and evolve security standards, policies, and guidelines.
• Support architects and infrastructure teams in risk reduction and cybersecurity compliance.
• Conduct risk assessments, security reviews, and define risk mitigation strategies.
• Provide expert advice on cloud transformation, compliance, and audits.
• Assess infrastructure architecture and solutions from a security perspective.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners, infrastructure teams, and Information Security.
• Participate in governance initiatives such as Architecture Boards, Cyber Committees, and working groups.
• Represent the cybersecurity perspective and justify recommended security approaches to stakeholders.

Location: Warsaw, Poland. Work mode: Hybrid with meetings 3 times a week at the client's office in Warsaw.
