Programista 4 GL

Asseco Poland S.A. develops and maintains financial systems used by clients in the finance and brokerage industries. The role focuses on supporting and enhancing core system applications using 4GL and Java technologies, operating from their Gdynia office.

• Minimum 3 years commercial experience in developing applications using Informix 4GL
• Higher technical education
• Experience with SQL and databases, especially IBM Informix
• Experience compiling and running 4GL programs
• Experience writing shell scripts for UNIX/Linux systems
• Experience servicing software, analyzing service requests, data, and 4GL code
• Experience with Git or another version control system
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team

Nice to have:

• Experience with macro processing (m4, 4ml)
• Experience developing software in Java
• Knowledge of Spring Framework
• Practical experience using AI tools supporting software development, testing, and documentation
• Identification and implementation of new AI tools to improve team productivity

• Programming and testing 4GL core system applications
• Programming and testing Java applications
• Ensuring quality and compliance with standards and best practices in software development
• Providing programming support during new software version rollouts
• Stabilizing and maintaining deployed solutions, including service and support of 4GL software
