Senior Mobile Software Engineer (iOS) - Consumer Experience

Grupa Allegro Sp. z o. o. is a company operating in the e-commerce sector with teams based in Poznań and Kraków. The role is part of their mobile team focusing on enhancing the Allegro iOS application, which serves millions of customers and operates at large scale with over 1000 microservices and production-used machine learning.

• Fluency in Swift and the iOS SDK.
• Solid knowledge of SwiftUI, Combine, and Swift Concurrency.
• Ability to write unit tests (XCTest), snapshot tests (SnapshotTesting), and UI tests (XCUITest).
• Practical experience working with modular architecture and scaling large codebases.
• Knowledge of Apple Liquid Glass design language and WCAG accessibility standards.
• Collaboration experience with backend engineers and product teams.
• Proficiency in using AI-assisted coding tools like GitHub Copilot or other agentic coding tools.

Nice to have:

• Experience with high-traffic large-scale mobile applications.
• Experience with A/B testing frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with the Android ecosystem or backend development or willingness to expand skillset.
• Contributions to open-source projects or a strong GitHub profile.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

• Design, develop, test, and deploy features for the Allegro iOS application ensuring high quality, performance, and responsiveness.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and cross-functional engineering teams to define and implement innovative mobile solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural discussions for the iOS platform.
• Maintain high code quality standards across the iOS application.
• Be part of Allegro’s mobile community sharing knowledge through code reviews and tech talks.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, and scalability issues within the iOS app.
• Stay updated with the latest Swift, SwiftUI, and Apple SDK technologies and mobile industry trends.
