Senior Fullstack Engineer (AI Product)

Opportunity to join a fast-growing AI product company building software that changes how US accounting firms prepare and review taxes. The role involves working on an AI-powered tax platform designed for professional users working in complex decisions, combining AI with workflows where accuracy, transparency, and human judgment matter.

• Senior-level commercial experience (min. 5 years) building fullstack applications using React and Python.
• Strong product mindset focused on user problems and outcomes.
• Proven ability to take end-to-end ownership of topics from unclear needs to production solutions.
• Ability to make decisions with incomplete information and clarify scope.
• Pragmatic engineering approach balancing quality, speed, and business impact.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, specifically Google Cloud and/or Azure.

• Experience in fast-moving startups or scale-ups.
• Experience taking a product or major feature from 0 to 1.
• Experience building software in regulated or complex domains.
• Experience with AI/LLM-powered products.
• Experience working directly with users and using product metrics and customer feedback.

• Build and maintain fullstack features across AI-powered tax preparation, planning, and review products.
• Design and implement React interfaces, TypeScript APIs, and Python backend services.
• Take ownership of features from initial problem discovery through implementation, release, and iteration.
• Work with real usage data and customer feedback to identify improvements.
• Make product and technical decisions with incomplete information.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, AI, product, and domain experts.
• Engage with customer-facing teams and incorporate user feedback into solutions.
• Maintain clean, typed, and performant codebase while working at startup speed.
• Balance additional polish with speed to market and learning from users.
