Backend Java Engineer with DevOps focus

The role is for a Backend Engineer with a strong DevOps mindset, working on a global Mobile Wallet Platform aimed at enabling financial inclusion for unbanked populations worldwide. The project handles billions of transactions globally and uses technologies including Java EE, Kotlin, Apache Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenTelemetry. The team operates in an Agile setup with 5-7 people and the position is remote with occasional visits to the Warsaw office.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Java development.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker is mandatory.
• Proficiency in CI/CD automation and build tools like Gradle and Maven.
• Experience working with Apache Kafka and SQL/Oracle databases.
• Fluent English proficiency (B2+ level).

Nice to have:

• Experience with OpenTelemetry.
• Knowledge of Kotlin.

• Backend development using Java EE focused on automation and deployment.
• Configuring and managing Docker and Kubernetes environments.
• Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI.
• Optimizing system observability with OpenTelemetry and logging tools.
