Regulatory Controls Testing Analyst

• Experience in Regulatory Compliance, Compliance Assurance, Monitoring & Testing, Risk, Audit or similar assurance roles.
• Understanding of UK regulatory obligations applicable to financial services.
• Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with high-quality standards.
• Ability to balance attention to detail with a pragmatic, risk-based approach.

Regulatory Controls Testing:

• Execute regulatory controls testing according to the approved plan and methodology.
• Assess design and operating effectiveness of controls against regulatory requirements and internal standards.
• Prepare testing scopes, sample selections, evidence requests, and working papers.
• Document testing results, observations, findings, and recommendations.
• Identify control weaknesses and enhancement opportunities.

Framework Development and Enhancement:

• Contribute to development and maintenance of the Regulatory Controls Testing Framework and methodology.
• Support framework reviews and process improvements.
• Contribute to initiatives improving testing efficiency, quality, and consistency.

Issue Management and Reporting:

• Support issue tracking, remediation monitoring, and validation testing.
• Prepare testing reports, management information, and thematic analysis.
• Maintain accurate testing records and documents.
• Support management and governance reporting.

Stakeholder Management:

• Build relationships with Control Owners and stakeholders.
• Support discussions on findings, remediation, and outcomes.
• Provide guidance on testing requests, timelines, and evidence.

Continuous Improvement:

• Share knowledge and lessons learned within the Regulatory Compliance team.
• Support development of testing templates, guidance, and procedures.
• Maintain awareness of regulatory developments and industry good practice.
