Senior Backend Engineer (Java/Kotlin)

Emergesoft is a company with 12 years of market presence, operating on 3 continents with a team of 100 people, over 90% at senior level. The project is for a global leader in the online entertainment industry (iGaming), focusing on building the core platform that engages millions of users. The team works in the User Experience & Loyalty Domain, combining technology with player psychology to build advanced engines for real-time communication, bonus mechanisms, and loyalty programs.

• Minimum 5+ years of commercial experience in backend development using Java and/or Kotlin.
• Deep practical knowledge of microservice architecture.
• Experience working with messaging systems such as Kafka.
• Strong knowledge of the Spring ecosystem and JPA.
• Proficiency with relational databases like MySQL.
• Proactive approach with focus on "Clean Code" and ownership of initiatives.

Nice to have:

• Experience with OpenAPI.
• Experience with BigQuery.
• Experience with Kubernetes.

• Designing and building scalable, robust solutions in a microservice architecture (High-load / High-availability).
• Owning the full software lifecycle from concept to coding, deployment, and monitoring.
• Actively participating in architectural discussions and proposing technology optimizations.
• Ensuring scalability of the IT ecosystem for growing traffic and future expansions.
• Collaborating closely with operational units and other technical domains to ensure seamless user experiences.
