Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

SpotMe is a leading B2B event platform specializing in life sciences, powering the Onomi HCP engagement product. The company delivers CRM-connected, high-quality experiences for in-person, virtual, and hybrid events, webinars, congresses, symposia, and advisory boards.

• Around five or more years of experience in a site reliability role with a background in system administration or software development.
• Strong experience with cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, and high-availability platforms.
• Production-grade experience with AWS; knowledge of Azure is a bonus.
• Expertise in infrastructure automation using Terraform.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Proficiency in Python; experience with JavaScript, Node.js, or Go is an asset.
• Instrumentation and monitoring skills using Datadog, Pingdom, and Elastic.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Anthropic’s Claude with practical application in infrastructure work.
• Strong ownership, communication, and collaboration skills for prioritizing reliability work across teams.

Infrastructure development:

• Develop and deploy scalable infrastructure using Terraform and cloud-native AWS services.
• Contribute to full-stack work involving backend and infrastructure or cloud development.
• Build automation for infrastructure provisioning and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, including image builds with Packer and Docker.

Platform optimization and resilience:

• Optimize cloud infrastructure for high availability and cost efficiency.
• Monitor and update infrastructure following security best practices with necessary patches and upgrades.
• Ensure infrastructure can handle peak loads and scale smoothly during high-traffic events.

Support and observability:

• Participate in on-call infrastructure rotation to respond to incidents and resolve them quickly.
• Strengthen platform monitoring and observability using Datadog, Pingdom, and Elastic.
• Handle infrastructure support requests and drive continuous improvement in incident resolution.
