Lead Java Developer

Altimetrik Poland is a digital enablement company delivering bite-size outcomes to enterprises and start-ups across industries in an agile way. This role supports a customer operating an online marketplace connecting home renters with accommodation seekers, building a world-class payments platform handling billions of dollars across 191 countries and 75 currencies.

• At least 7 years of experience with Java, including at least 1 year in a leadership role
• Experience with software development processes such as design, planning, implementation, maintenance, and documentation
• Understanding of data structures and problem-solving approaches with ability to articulate trade-offs
• Experience developing, debugging, and shipping software on large code bases across platforms and tools
• Knowledge of agile methodologies such as Scrum
• Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams
• Strong ownership and communication skills

• Provide technical leadership within a small collaborative team of software engineers
• Apply best practices and adhere to engineering principles for high quality, secure, modular, functional, and testable code
• Generate ideas with team members and offer insightful solutions
• Attend meetings with clients and peers
• Provide customers with support and guidelines for application development
• Collaborate in all stages of development from requirement discussions with the Product Owner to deployment in the cloud

Candidates need to be available 2–3 days per week until 9:00 PM for meetings with the US team.
