Senior Java Engineer

TPConnects is a leading travel technology company with a rapidly growing engineering hub in Warsaw. We build software powering modern airline retailing. Every month, our platforms process millions ticket purchases, connect airlines, and power digital retailing for airline providers. We are a product company building, owning, and continuously improving our platform, enabling engineers to influence architecture, shape technical decisions, and solve global engineering challenges. The team includes colleagues from dozens of nationalities, making English the everyday language.

• 5+ years of professional experience with Java.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot and microservices.
• Experience building and integrating REST APIs.
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, clean code, and testing.
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL) and ideally NoSQL databases (DynamoDB).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).

Nice to have:

• Experience with distributed systems.
• Event-driven architecture.
• AWS certification.
• Travel technology experience.
• Curiosity about AI-assisted software development.

• Design, build and maintain scalable Java backend services.
• Develop new platform capabilities while improving the performance and reliability of existing systems.
• Build and enhance integrations with airline and travel industry partners.
• Troubleshoot complex software issues and continuously improve system quality.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects and Engineers to design technical solutions.
• Contribute to architecture discussions, code reviews and engineering best practices.
• Document technical solutions and share knowledge across the team.
