Network Engineer

OLX is a company operating in 10 countries with a Global BIT Infrastructure team that manages business-critical global networks and applications at scale, supporting internal tools and systems used by all employees.

• Solid hands-on network engineering experience with enterprise office network setups, including Meraki and Cisco stack.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, BGP, VLANs/Spanning Tree, firewalls, routing).
• Proficiency in scripting and automation with Python, PowerShell, or Bash; experience with Terraform, Ansible, and AWS networking capabilities is a plus.
• Understanding of CI/CD tools such as Gitlab CI/CD, GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with ITIL practices and ITSM tools like Jira, ServiceNow.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted tooling and low-code/no-code automation platforms.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Experience contributing to or leading automation and process improvement projects.
• Clear and effective communicator with ability to produce high-quality technical documentation.
• Collaborative and dependable team member able to support junior colleagues.
• Proactive, ownership-driven mindset with attention to detail and continuous improvement.

• Own the design, implementation, and maintenance of LAN/WAN infrastructure across global office locations, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Manage the security of network services and systems, including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls.
• Identify and troubleshoot complex network problems including WiFi, VPN, and WAN issues, conducting root-cause analysis.
• Monitor network health proactively, identify threats, analyse anomalies, and lead responses to network incidents.
• Participate in the change management process for network infrastructure and applications.
• Maintain and enforce security compliance standards across all network devices and tools.
• Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and runbooks.
• Drive automation initiatives to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability of network operations, leveraging scripting and infrastructure-as-code tooling.
• Act as a point of reference for junior engineers, providing guidance and support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT Operations, Security, Infrastructure, and Engineering.
• Participate in on-call rotations and support schedules, managing escalated network issues.
