Technical Lead - GenAI Engineer

Square One Resources is building AI-powered products for the financial services sector, focusing on production-grade GenAI solutions that automate complex business processes to support better decision-making.

• 10+ years of software engineering experience including building and operating AI/ML systems in production.
• Proven experience as a Technical Lead or Lead Software Engineer, including leading teams, setting technical direction, making architectural decisions, and mentoring.
• Hands-on production experience with GenAI/LLM systems beyond PoCs or academic projects.
• Proven experience designing and delivering LLM workflows, RAG pipelines, and agentic AI.
• Deep expertise in Python or Node.js, with solid knowledge of the other.
• Experience designing and developing cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Practical experience with event-driven and/or serverless architectures.
• Experience owning architectural decisions, managing technical risk, and participating in governance.
• Strong understanding of prompt engineering, RAG, LLM evaluation, and agent frameworks.
• Strong English communication skills at C1 level or above.

• Experience with React and modern frontend development.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda and event-driven architecture patterns.

• Set the technical direction for the squad and make key architectural decisions.
• Own technical quality, scalability, maintainability, and reliability of the solutions.
• Design and develop production-grade LLM solutions including RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, business system integrations, and model evaluation.
• Deliver production-grade software using Python and/or Node.js, across backend services and system integrations.
• Design and develop cloud-native applications on AWS, especially event-driven and serverless architectures.
• Mentor and support engineers through code reviews, design reviews, pair programming, and day-to-day technical guidance.
• Identify and manage technical risks and ensure long-term maintainability.
• Represent engineering in architectural and technical governance, including architecture reviews.
• Collaborate with platform teams to consume shared capabilities and build reusable components.
• Drive adoption of AI-assisted development tools across the SDLC.
• Ensure AI solutions are secure, auditable, and compliant by design for regulated financial services.
• Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.
