IT Team Lead

Anshar Studios is growing its IT department and seeks a Senior IT Engineer with team leadership experience to lead a three-person IT team, shape department strategy, and represent IT to upper management. The role involves building and scaling the IT function within the company, with a focus on complex technical challenges and team development.

• At least 4 years of experience leading an IT team or department plus 4 years of senior or expert hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, security, and support.
• Demonstrated ability to engage with upper management and executives, presenting plans, negotiating priorities, and explaining technical risk in business terms.
• Generalist mindset with specialist depth in at least one core area (identity/security/networking).
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Self-organization and ownership managing competing priorities across strategic and operational work.
• Technical expertise in hybrid Active Directory and Entra ID (Azure AD) administration, synchronization, and integration.
• Experience configuring and securing hybrid/internet-facing services using modern authentication and security best practices.
• Experience conducting security and compliance audits for IT infrastructure.
• Knowledge of IT security best practices, standards, and policy design/implementation.
• Administration and monitoring of wired and wireless network infrastructure.
• Solid IT support, hardware setup, and troubleshooting experience on Windows and ideally Linux.
• Scripting for task and process automation, e.g., PowerShell, Python.
• Experience with user management, ticketing systems, and IT asset tracking tools (ideally Jira Service Management).

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with game development environments, workflows, and tools.
• Languages: Polish C1, English C1.

Leadership & Strategy:

• Lead and grow the IT team, including mentoring and developing other engineers and specialists.
• Shape IT department strategy, roadmap, and priorities in collaboration with upper management.
• Act as the primary point of contact between IT and company leadership, translating business needs into technical plans and communicating IT risks and priorities.
• Own department-level decisions on tooling, policy, and process, balancing short-term support needs with long-term infrastructure health.
• Provide backup and redundancy on critical systems and decisions to avoid single points of failure.
• Plan resourcing, hiring, and skill development within the IT team as it grows.

Technical & Specialist Work:

• Serve as a senior technical escalation point for complex infrastructure, security, and support issues.
• Expert in administration, synchronization, and integration of identities in hybrid Active Directory and Entra ID (Azure AD) environments.
• Design, implement, and maintain security pipelines, disaster recovery plans, backup strategies, and vulnerability analysis.
• Configure and secure hybrid and internet-facing services using modern authentication and security best practices.
• Lead security and compliance audits of internal and third-party IT infrastructure.
• Monitor, administer, and optimize company network infrastructure (switches, VPNs, LAN/WiFi).
• Oversee hardware onboarding, workstation configuration, and asset management standards.
• Support technical events (streaming, recording, cameras, microphones, sound) as needed.
