Java Developer

You will join a team developing solutions responsible for communication between corporate clients and a global financial organization, including system integration, data exchange, file validation, and payment process handling. The project is customer-facing, allowing the team’s work to be visible to end users and impact business process quality and reliability. One of the developed solutions is a tool enabling clients to verify payment file correctness before submission, reducing errors and accelerating processes. The project is executed in an international environment collaborating with teams worldwide. This role offers real impact on system architecture, technical solution choices, and platform development direction, involving new functionalities and migration or modernization projects in an international setting. Location: Kraków, hybrid with 6 days per month in office.

• Minimum 4 years of commercial experience programming in Java.
• Strong knowledge of Spring Framework and designing and implementing REST API.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Practical knowledge of CI/CD processes and software development automation.
• Experience creating automated tests using tools like JUnit.
• Basic knowledge of frontend technologies.
• Ability to work effectively in project environments and international teams.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and business areas.
• Ability to adapt in changing project environments.
• Willingness to actively participate in system architecture design and modern integration solutions development.
• Fluent communication in English and Polish, minimum B2 level.

Nice to have:

• Experience in integration, migration, or modernization projects.
• Knowledge of frontend technologies.
• Experience with integration platforms and EDI solutions.
• Knowledge of technologies like Kafka, RabbitMQ, and Redis.
• Experience working with Docker and containerized environments.
• Knowledge of distributed architecture and asynchronous communication.

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java and Spring Framework.
• Create and develop REST API supporting system integration.
• Participate in migration, modernization, and refactoring of existing solutions.
• Co-create system architecture and make technical decisions for platform development.
• Ensure code quality via code review, test automation, and engineering best practices.
• Develop DevOps processes, including CI/CD and deployment automation.
• Collaborate with analysts, testers, and international teams in Agile.
• Identify and reduce technical debt, improve performance and stability.
• Participate in production incident analysis and implementation of preventive measures.
• Share knowledge, mentor, and support less experienced team members.

Location requirement: Kraków, hybrid with office presence 6 days per month.
