Security Engineer

Benefit Systems International S.A. is seeking an experienced Security Engineer to join their cybersecurity team in Warszawa. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining security solutions primarily based on Microsoft technologies.

• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, or security operations.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft security technologies including Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender XDR, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Microsoft Purview.
• Good understanding of security concepts such as Identity and Access Management (IAM), Zero Trust Architecture, Endpoint Security, Security Monitoring and Incident Response, Vulnerability Management, and Cloud Security.
• Experience working with Microsoft Azure environments.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls.
• Ability to analyze security events and perform root cause investigations.
• Scripting or automation skills (PowerShell, Python) are an advantage.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional English-speaking teams.

Nice to have:

• Microsoft security certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert (SC-100), Security Operations Analyst Associate (SC-200), Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300).
• Experience with SIEM and Vulnerability Management tools.

• Manage Microsoft security solutions across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Monitor, detect, investigate, and respond to security incidents.
• Develop and improve security monitoring use cases, detection rules, and automated response workflows.
• Perform security assessments, vulnerability management, and risk analysis.
• Support identity and access management initiatives.
• Implement and maintain security controls aligned with industry best practices and compliance requirements.
• Participate in incident response activities and forensic investigations.
• Create and maintain security documentation, procedures, and technical standards.
