Staff Software Engineer - AI Compute Libraries Performance

The ML Kernels & Runtime team builds compute libraries that maximize performance from AI hardware, emphasizing careful design, measurement, and fast technical feedback. • Excellent C++ and Python programming skills, including strong scripting abilities.
• Understanding of processor architectures and Linux profiling.
• Proven technical leadership including mentoring, design review, and influencing engineering direction.
• Ability to balance hands-on implementation with technical ownership.
• Strong knowledge of performance engineering aspects such as vectorisation, memory hierarchy, and threading.
• Experience testing numerical or performance-sensitive code, including benchmarking and validation.
• Legal right to work in Poland, as visa sponsorship is not provided.

• Build and optimize compute libraries that control the performance of AI hardware.
• Create and maintain kernels close to the hardware, including GEMM, batched GEMM, convolutions, reductions, elementwise, and fused operations in C++.
• Benchmark, profile, validate numerical accuracy, and improve kernel performance considering threading, cache locality, memory layout, and kernel launch efficiency.
• Deliver hands-on engineering with technical ownership, guiding architectural decisions and raising software quality.
• Mentor team members and influence engineering direction.
