IT Manager

ANSHAR STUDIOS SPÓŁKA AKCYJNA is expanding its IT department and seeking a Senior IT Engineer with team leadership experience to lead a three-person IT team in Katowice.

• At least 4 years leading an IT team or department plus 4 years senior/expert hands-on IT infrastructure, security, and support experience.
• Experience working with upper management/executives, presenting plans and communicating technical risks.
• Generalist mindset with specialist depth in identity, security, or networking.
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Highly responsible, self-organized, and able to manage competing priorities independently.
• Expertise with hybrid Active Directory and Entra ID (Azure AD) administration and integration.
• Experience configuring and securing hybrid/internet services with modern authentication.
• Knowledge of security and compliance audits and policy design.
• Administration and monitoring of wired and wireless networks.
• Hardware setup and troubleshooting experience in Windows and ideally Linux.
• Scripting skills for automation, e.g., PowerShell, Python.
• Experience with user management, ticketing systems, and IT asset tracking tools (ideally Jira Service Management).

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with game development environments, workflows, and tools.

Leadership & Strategy:

• Lead and grow the IT team, including mentoring and developing engineers.
• Shape IT strategy, roadmap, and priorities with upper management.
• Act as primary contact between IT and leadership, translating business needs.
• Own tooling, policy, and process decisions balancing support and infrastructure health.
• Provide backup on critical systems ensuring no single point of failure.
• Plan resourcing, hiring, and skill development within the team.

Technical & Specialist Work:

• Serve as senior escalation point for complex infrastructure, security, and support issues.
• Administer, synchronize, and integrate identities in hybrid Active Directory and Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Design, implement, and maintain security pipelines, disaster recovery, backup strategies, and vulnerability analysis.
• Configure and secure hybrid and internet-facing services using modern authentication and security practices.
• Lead security and compliance audits of internal and third-party IT infrastructure.
• Monitor, administer, and optimize network infrastructure, including switches, VPNs, LAN/WiFi.
• Oversee hardware onboarding, workstation configuration, and asset management.
• Support technical events like streaming and recording as needed.
