Software Engineer, Platform (Java)

Sprout Social is a company with a diverse Engineering team covering mobile, front-end, back-end, and site reliability engineering, processing tens of billions of requests and asynchronous events daily and supporting over 1,000 monthly production deployments. The role is part of the Partnerships and Ecosystems team, focused on delivering new social network capabilities to customers.

• Minimum 2 years of experience developing and supporting software in a production environment
• At least 2 years programming experience in object-oriented languages such as Java, C#, Python, or C++
• Professional proficiency in English (verbal and written)

Nice to have:

• 2 years of experience developing Front-End applications
• Experience with third-party APIs and building resilient systems
• Experience working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
• Professional proficiency in Polish (verbal and written)

• Write clean, well-tested, and reviewable code using technologies such as Java, Python, MySQL, NSQ, Hbase, AWS, and Kubernetes
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements and complete feature work
• Own the code deployed to production, including risk and issue identification and communication
• Review pull requests and design documents from peers, applying established code patterns and best practices
