Head of Web Production (DTC Growth Technology)

Hyprwork is a fast-growing operator of direct-to-consumer brands in health and wellness. Their flagship brand, Rejuvacare, serves over 400,000 customers with products targeting chronic pain and mobility. The company has scaled 12x in a year to nearly 150 people across 15+ countries and operates as remote-first and async-first.

• Significant experience improving web development, digital production, or growth technology operations
• Proven record reducing delivery time, increasing throughput, or improving first-pass quality
• Strong understanding of landing pages, ecommerce funnels, checkouts, upsells, testing, and conversion-focused web production
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, APIs, analytics, tracking, page builders, and modern web development workflows
• Experience deploying AI tools or automation in real production environments
• Skilled in intake process design, acceptance criteria, capacity planning, and quality control systems
• Strong grasp of dependencies and constraint management
• Effective communication skills with marketers, copywriters, designers, media buyers, and developers
• Confidence to challenge unclear or complicated requirements
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making
• Preference for experience with direct response ecommerce, high-volume web production, Shopify, Checkout Champ, Figma, landing page builders, CRO testing, and marketing analytics
• Ability to work overlapping with 8:00am to 12:00pm EST collaboration window
• Formal qualifications are not required given strong evidence of outcomes

The Production Operating System:

• Map and redesign the workflow from marketing request to production launch
• Identify bottlenecks, unnecessary handoffs, waiting time, and duplicated work
• Establish clear ownership at every stage
• Define information requirements before work starts
• Create work-in-progress limits and prioritization rules
• Build separate production lanes for different types of work
• Create clear escalation paths for blockers and changing requirements

Requirements and Task Definition:

• Build standardized briefs for landing pages, checkouts, funnels, upsells, and technical changes
• Establish a Definition of Ready for each work category
• Ensure every requirement includes copy, design direction, references, responsive behavior, tracking, and acceptance criteria
• Translate marketing intent into executable specifications
• Manage changes after development begins

AI-First Production:

• Audit production process for AI and automation opportunities
• Evaluate AI coding tools, AI page builders, no-code platforms, reusable components, and templates
• Build workflows where AI creates high-quality drafts from briefs and designs
• Install guardrails for safe non-developer builds
• Reduce repetitive development with reusable sections and design systems
• Measure AI impact on cycle time, cost, quality, and throughput

Dependencies and Capacity:

• Create visibility over workload and capacity for development, design, and shared resources
• Identify dependencies prior to production
• Sequence work realistically by resource availability
• Prevent assignment of incomplete work
• Build capacity planning systems for marketing visibility
• Reduce reliance on informal communication

Quality Built Into the Process:

• Move quality control upstream
• Introduce developer self-QC
• Create standardized QC checklists and acceptance criteria
• Establish independent final QC process
• Implement automated testing for visual regression, broken links, responsiveness, tracking, checkout, browser compatibility, and performance
• Track defects and root causes for systemic improvements

Team Structure and Capability:

• Lead and raise the standard of the production team
• Allocate work between developers and AI-enabled specialists
• Coach team on estimation, task clarification, self-QC, and AI workflows
• Build documentation and visibility to decentralize critical knowledge

The Measurement System:

• Build reporting on cycle times, throughput, delivery, clarifications, QC pass rates, defect rates, rework hours, blockers, usage of reusable components or AI workflows, cost per page/funnel, and launch delays
