Senior Mobile Engineer - React Native, Platform/Infrastructure (all genders)

HelloFresh's HelloTech organisation is a global technology backbone with over 1000 people building digital products for meal kits, ready-to-eat meals, pet food, and premium meat & seafood. The technology supports their subscription-based, direct-to-consumer model including customer apps, personalization, pricing, forecasting, and supply chain optimization. The role is within the Consumer Foundations tribe, Client Platform squad, focusing on evolving the mobile platform through React Native migration and scalable architecture.

• Deep production experience in React Native, iOS (Swift), and Android (Kotlin).
• Strong understanding of React Native internals, performance profiling, native code bridging, platform-specific features, and app store release processes.
• Hands-on experience using AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot.
• Proven ability to manage and optimize workflows, linting, caching, and build times in large engineering organizations.
• Experience managing complex build configurations, white-label scaling, and monorepo architectures.
• Comfortable operating with high autonomy and accountability, making technical decisions in ambiguous situations.
• Expertise across app release cycles, test automation, on-device performance, and mobile UX conventions.
• Ability to influence technical direction across multiple engineering teams through communication and collaboration.

• Contribute to brownfield-to-greenfield React Native migration in a white-labeled multi-brand application.
• Support concurrent development in React Native monorepo and maintain shared npm packages.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines in Bitrise, evaluate future migration to Expo.
• Design and extend end-to-end test coverage using Maestro.
• Build and maintain tracing and dashboards in Honeycomb for app health observability.
• Collaborate with Engineering Manager and teams to review technical solutions and engineering practices.
• Investigate and resolve production issues to maintain application stability and reliability.
• Write clear technical documentation including design proposals and ADRs.
