SysAdmin Linux / DevOps f/m

Scanway is a Polish leader in optical Earth observation technology from space and a key representative of the New Space sector in Europe. For over 10 years, the company has been developing advanced optical instruments for satellite missions, including the STAR VIBE satellite, and vision systems for industrial automation. The team consists of over 100 experienced engineers, designers, optics specialists, and experts working in modern labs and cleanrooms in Wrocław.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Linux system administration, diagnostics, and shell scripting.
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible.
• Knowledge of network infrastructure configuration including addressing, routing, DNS, and firewall.
• Proficiency with Docker and Git tools.
• Good knowledge of GitLab CI/CD.
• Proficiency in Python for automation and support tools.
• Ability to independently diagnose and solve problems.
• Communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• English language proficiency sufficient for technical communication.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of WireGuard or other VPN solutions.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Grafana Alloy, Mimir.
• Experience with offline or isolated environment deployments.
• Experience with object storage (e.g., MinIO) and databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).
• Experience with software licensing and automation of license verification.

• Lead DevOps practices including automation of tests, builds, and deployments using GitLab CI/CD.
• Provision target machines and prepare repeatable runtime environments for various deployments.
• Containerize product components and design runtime environments using Docker.
• Design infrastructure for client systems including proxies, air-gapped networks, and VPN.
• Support R&D and deployment teams with configuration and administration of devices running Linux and network infrastructure.
• Implement and maintain security standards, manage access, secrets, and secure communications.
• Participate in deployments of vision systems offered by Scanway.
• Collaborate with the IT department on internal team infrastructure and external servers.
• Develop technical documentation and assist the team with best practices.
