Technical Product Manager - AI Finance App

KIRA is a company with a mission to make money smart, reliable and accessible for everyone. It built the first mobile-first insurance platform in 2019, now the leading insurance platform in Southeast Asia. The company is expanding its financial tools to include spending, saving, investing, exchanging, travelling, and more, leveraging AI to enhance user experience. The team is international with over 20 nationalities and works remotely.

• Significant experience owning a complex technical product end-to-end with strong judgement and decisiveness under ambiguity.
• Solid technical foundation in system design including boundaries, datastores, workflows, APIs, failure modes, and concurrency consistency.
• Experience in a regulated or high-consequence domain such as payments, banking, remittance, or insurance.
• Hands-on experience with LLM-based AI products, feature evaluation methods, and understanding AI limitations including hallucination and data gaps.
• Nice to have: engineering or highly technical PM background, zero-to-one experience, shipped AI-heavy consumer products, defined evaluation metrics for ML/LLM systems, AI UX and failure-handling intuition, and Southeast Asia market experience.

• Own a vertical end-to-end outcomes, metrics, and prioritized backlog with clear acceptance criteria.
• Shape technical design with engineering, including system boundaries, money-movement correctness, third-party-rail reliance, failure paths, security, latency, scalability, and recovery.
• Make and defend trade-offs across correctness, speed, cost, reliability, and UX.
• Treat regulated constraints as first-class product inputs, including licensing, CDD/KYC, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, data residency, and privacy.
• Define AI application boundaries, evaluation, human-in-the-loop processes, and handling uncertainty.
• Ship feature-complete products behind flags, going live per regulatory and partner gate.
• Collaborate across Engineering, Design, Compliance, Operations, Treasury, and Finance/Reconciliation.

English is the main working language, and strong English communication is required. The role is remote and global, requiring effective collaboration across multiple countries and time zones.
