Product Owner/Project Manager with German

VM.PL is an established IT software house with over 20 years of experience, delivering tailor-made digital solutions for international clients. The role supports the development and delivery of strategic fixed-price/fixed-scope projects within the Product Management & Advisory area.

• Very good command of German (near-native proficiency), English (B2/C1), and Polish (B1+), enabling independent facilitation of workshops and work with project documentation.
• At least 3 years of experience in IT projects as a Product Owner, Project Manager, or Business Analyst with responsibility for implementation and budget.
• Practical experience with product backlogs, User Stories, Epics, and managing functional and non-functional requirements.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to create solution concepts such as process diagrams and mock-ups.
• Experience or strong interest in projects within manufacturing, logistics, or industrial environments.
• Very good communication and organizational skills with a customer-oriented mindset.
• Valid Category B driving license and willingness for occasional business travel.
• Interest and experience using AI technologies and tools in daily work.
• Hands-on experience in pre-sales or sales processes, particularly in requirements gathering, solution definition, or proposal preparation is a strong asset.

• Taking responsibility for project delivery across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Planning and managing project scope, timeline, and budget (the project “iron triangle”).
• Conducting business needs analysis and facilitating client workshops primarily in German, including Product Discovery sessions.
• Creating and managing the product backlog, breaking down epics into user stories, and defining acceptance criteria.
• Collaborating with development teams to clarify requirements during sprints and validate solutions.
• Preparing project and product documentation including solution concepts, Statements of Work, and functional specifications.
• Monitoring project progress and proactively managing risks, dependencies, and scope changes.
• Managing relationships with business stakeholders and regularly reporting on project status.
• Supporting pre-sales activities: participating in sales meetings, gathering client requirements, defining solutions and project scopes, and contributing to proposal preparations.
• Proposing improvements, optimizations, and innovative solutions, including use of AI technologies.
